"stop bothering me mom" is the title, and it's because my mom was said a million times to update this blog before the spiders start fighting the dust mites for control over this unused site... SO HERE WE GOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so in school we had a profession day, and unlike in the Russian schools, i actually had to participate on the special days.. i choose to take classes on law, banking, and ways after the abitur (an exam that people must take, and was a mandatory class for everyone to take that day) the day was ok, I almost fell asleep in my law class.. nobody blamed me for it. on days afterwords, my grandpa took me to special exhibitions in the city Augsburg, where I got to see the mayor. the exhibition was of a famous German sculpter/painter/artist. we never got to see it because the talking went on too long that day. on other days, I would find myself doing things with school friends or with my family here. I spent an afternoon in the city with the other American student, looking for presents for certain people. and was watching Germany blow a 4-0 lead over sweden, into a 4-4 tie game with my Opa. or watching Harry Potter in german (which dissapointed me due to a crappy ending) along with other films that were in german, like "Star Wars", "Battleship", "The Dark Knight films", and others.. I would also watch the presidential debates, as the election was coming nearer everyday and people were interested in what was happening, even though I casted my vote for Obama long before the debates started, they were still interesting to see. we also had rotary events about mountain climbing, about a person who climbed the 7 highest mountains on each continent. and more events about our returning exchange students who returned from Wisconsin and France. on this day, i had to live with my host family in the future, because we were having a class trip to Berlin and it would be easier for everyone if i stayed with her for the weekend before. at Anita's we had some friends come over, we watched Scott Pilgrim vs the World, got their boat from the sea, and had 2 gamers come over. the gamers were good friends and were familar with many games and SLENDER!!!! we walked with lights in the woods at night, and then ran away from the group and tried to scare them. we also watched the Matrix and talked a long time. on the following monday, we woke up at 6 to catch our train to Berlin for the class trip. we arrived in Berlin around 12, got orientated in the hotel near the main train station. we saw the bundestag and had a tour of it, then we saw Berlin at night and had the rest of the night to hang. my roommates (the 2 boys who first talked to me when i entered the school for the first time for 3 periods) and me went around the brandenburger tor where i helped some Americans from California find the Russian monument. on the second day, we had a tour of the city, saw the DDR museum and talked about food, where a german and me had an idea to try pizza hut pizza with dunkin donuts... a donut pizza

we also saw a german comedy show called Kabarett, which was political humor abour Germany today in the world. on the next day we saw the holocaust memorial (was a bunch of rocks), saw the Bundesrat (where the german states come together) ate Asian noodles for lunch, saw a tour of German democracy, and saw the underground holocaust bunkers in the case of a nuclear fallout. afterwords, my roommates and i had a pizza party in our room. on the next day we saw the Berlin Wall from the top

had free time in the city, ate turkish food, a doener, for lunch

exchanged different games from Russia, America, and Germany with each other. saw a Stasi Prison (where our guide spoke only Berlin German, where i understood only 2 words), later that day i went with my host sister and her friends to the city, where we went to some stores (with 4 girls shopping, one would think would be awesome, but instead this bear became my best friend this night)

the next day was our last day, and we had to pick museums to see on that day before we left. i chose the pargamon museum (which i forgot was the museum i was already in) on the way back to Augsburg, every train was late (Die Deutsche Bahn ist nie punktlich, Mutti!) when we arrived in Augsburg, we took my host sister back to her house, and i went back to my grandparents and went right to bed. we had in the week after Berlin, a fall break, the entire week with no school. on the first day, we had snow, and my neighbor Michelle and me took a walk in the snow for fun. i made a snow man and a snow fort with my neighbor. i went to the city to see off the other Rotary Exchange students who were heading to Berlin. on the next day i got up at 5 to go to the Europa Park with my neighbor for the entire day. we rode mostly water rides (in the cold!). we did ride some high speed roller coasters (Ohio has the best in the US, so it was interesting to compare). on Halloween, Michelle and Me made a pumpkin, which turned out pretty well, somehow we named it Helga??? we watched a scary movie, and told stories about Slender man. on the other day i went to my friend andre (one of my roommates) to work on our portfolios for Berlin, play some basketball, and go with others to see the new James Bond movie. on the last day, my opa took us to a talk of a person who lived during the holocaust. the family was named Einstein (not Albert) after the holiday, we had the election. which bothered me all day, i stayed up late and woke up early to get the results. Obama has a 95% approval rating in europe.. so the entire continent was happy when he won. the only 2 nations (that i knew about) that werent happy with Obama getting reelected, were Pakistan and Isreal. speaking of Isreal, on the next day we saw a lecture over the Isreali economic mirscle, where reps said "Isreal is dissapointed that Romney lost" Isreal - 1 on other days, Michelle and i cooked while my Grandparents were gone. we cooked shnitel sandwiches with mini pizzas inside

during school, they swapped my math class for another German class, so i could read more literature (goethe and schiller... 2 authors that are impossible for germans to even understand) on other nice days, my grandparents and I went to seeg to enjoy the sun, we walked around the waters and ate apline food and hiked. on one day, my host sister Anita came over for a bit. we tried Yoga a bit and she invited me to come to Acro-Yoga with her in a few weeks. on another day, i went to the city with my sister Anita in order to meet a mexican exchange student, Feer! we talked for many hours about life, and had a good time. on the next day my family and we went to see a film about German mathmaticians, gaust and alexander, and to see the christmas markets open, where we bought reibedachi and sausages for my Grandparent's Anniversary on the 25th. in the following days, my oma went to switzerland for a few days to a christian event. so my opa and me went to the city to see a jiddish/german concert and eat more reibedachi. on the next day, i did yoga for 4.5 hours with Anita, my host sister. half the people were foreign, and the main trainer was from England. it was really fun, but anita had to leave early to get her Chilean exchange student from the airport who will stay with her for 3 months. today I got to see her, we went to a tiny christmas market and played in the snow. it was me and Anita's little brother VS the sister, Anita and the exchange student from Chile. here in Germany life is good (as it's always been) a nice year after a rough one in Russia is going great.. but Russia is still the main foreign land to me. Germany or any nation in Europe can't replace the adventure, motivation, and excitement of my year in Russia. sorry Germany, but Russia got to me first.
